San Francisco

The Golden State for its famous gold rush in 1848, could well be named that for its sun-kissed bay, overlooked by the iconic red suspension bridge. The Bay Area, home to Silicon Valley and an influx of the hottest startup companies, has seen a merging of tech-engaged, millennials fitting with its traditional laid back culture. After all, it was the home of the Hippie movement in the 60s. Venture around Bougie areas like The Haight, lined with vintage stores and coffee shops, and then lead on to areas like the famous Mission District and its Hispanic influences. The influence of both immigration and a real love for eating out can be seen everywhere. The food culture constantly moves from trend to trend, you’ll be getting fish tacos from a truck one day, and then shucking oysters the next.
